Sunbury and Walton Sea Cadets

The Sunbury & Walton Sea Cadets are a National Uniformed Youth Organisation, open for boys & girls aged 10-18. Sea Cadets at Walton Bridge Shepperton near Weybridge Elmbridge.

Activities are mainly of a nautical theme, and include boating, sailing, canoeing, sports and adventure training.

Other activities are rowing, swimming, Duke of Edinburgh Award, First Aid, competitions with other Cadet units.

The Sea Cadets are recognised by the RYA and they operate a badge scheme.

Activities are based on the traditions of the Royal Navy (though we are not a recruiting agent).

This Unit was formed in 1943 and has continued to develop over the years into the strong contingent we see today.

Age Groups

The Junior section for 10-12 year olds takes place on Fridays and Sundays.

The Ships Company is for youths aged 12-18 years, taking place on Tuesday and Friday nights, plus Sundays 10.15am-12.30pm.

Ceremonial Divisions

First Friday in the month.

Divisional Sports

Tuesday following Divisions.
