About Guillaumes LLP, Solicitors Surrey
In 2007, Weybridge’s two most prominent and established legal practices, Guillaumes Solicitors and Gosling & Wilkinson, succeeded in merging.
In June 2013 Guillaumes expanded by opening a new office on Esher High Street in place of our Church Street Weybridge office, but retaining our main office at Ibex House, Baker Street, Weybridge.
Guillaumes Solicitors was established in 1836, and located in London and the South East, before settling in Weybridge, Surrey, in the 1950s.
Gosling & Wilkinson were established in Weybridge in the late 19th century, before occupying the Church Street offices since about 1905.
Guillaumes therefore has the expertise to manage substantial and complex transactions in most areas of legal work.
We offer a high quality service, irrespective of the matter, and if not already a valued client, we look forward to welcoming you to Guillaumes.

Wills and Inheritance Tax Planning
Guillaumes Solicitors are experts in advising clients on the preparation of a will, and the issues surrounding inheritance tax planning.
We advise all clients to prepare a will and to review it regularly to take account of any changes in personal circumstances or fiscal changes.
Family assets, often linked to business interests, require proper and close protection. They can be used to provide security and income in retirement, eventually passing to the next generation with minimum delay and tax liability.
Services – Probate and Trusts Services in Surrey
Probate and Trusts are perhaps the firm’s signature area of expertise. We also deal with the administration of estates on death, in accordance with a will or the intestacy rules, always considering the further tax planning that may be needed on a death to secure a family’s assets.
We can draw up lasting powers of attorney for those in need, and also make any application needed to the Court of Protection.
We specialise in trusts and can, in particular, help parents set up a trust to make provision for any adult child with a learning difficulty or disability. Trusts can arise from inheritance planning on death or during a client’s lifetime.
Using our links with Independent Financial Advisory professionals, we can help clients find the right financial advisor to assist them with their investment, insurance or pension needs.

Services – Personal Tax Services in Surrey
With the support of our in-house Chartered Accountant Consultant Paul Guilfoyle, we offer a full personal tax compliance service. We prepare self assessment tax returns, repayment claims, including full tax calculations. We will deal with HMRC on your behalf. This includes dealing with all correspondence and checking of statements, notices of coding, demands etc.
Paul has nearly 30 years’ experience helping clients to legally save tax.
Some commentators have calculated that a person earning £60,000 a year could pay in taxes up to £987,000 over their lifetime. For higher earners, the amounts are even larger.
Of course we all have to pay our fair share of taxes. However, there is no reason why you should pay more than your fair share.
Unfortunately, paying more than their fair share is precisely what many people do, often without even realising it. So, because we do not want you to be one of them, Paul has generously offered our clients up to £100 worth of initial guidance absolutely free of charge.
If you would like to find out more, simply contact Paul using the link below and ask him in the first instance to send you his tax saving checklist.
This checklist has been specially designed to take less than 25 minutes to complete, and it could be the most profitable 20 minutes you will spend this year.
