Regular North West Surrey RSPB meetings are held in Weybridge at St Charles Borromeo School Hall. Additionally, there are frequent events held for members and non-members to meet up for Bird Watching. Grid references (GR) are given in the details below for the meet-up locations . Bird watching can be at close venues such as Staines Reservoir, or further away such as Pagham Harbour, south of Chichester, West Sussex.

Location: Papercourt GR: TQ 039573. 3 miles
Meet in the car park south of Newark Bridge on the B367. No facilities.

The wide spread of habitats here should provide a good range of resident birds and dragonflies.

Thursday 15th August – London Wetlands Centre

Location: Barnes WWT GR: TQ 228770. 1.5 miles.
Meet in car park at 10:00 or in reception at 10:10. WWT members don’t forget to bring your membership card. Full facilities on site. Come for morning only if preferred.

Wednesday 11th September – Staines Moor

Location: Staines Moor GR: TQ 031723. 2.5 miles.
Meet in Moor Lane, Staines, opposite entrance with information board, just before the road goes under the A30 Staines By-Pass. No Facilities but Staines is nearby..

With migration is in full swing, anything could turn up here, so could be an interesting time at this site – it rather depends on luck!
