Covid 19 Coronavirus Cancellations for Music On The Green
Dear MOTG fans
Sadly it has been decided in light of the Covid 19 Coronavirus outbreak and the Government advise regarding over 70s to cancel forthcoming MOTG concerts.
The concerts cancelled are:
Laefer Saxophone Quartet – Wednesday 18 March
Music in the Tower concerts – Tuesday 7 April & Wednesday 8 April
Harley Brass Quintet – Wednesday 15 April
Please can you make any friends, contacts and regular concert-goers aware of these cancellations. Thank you so much.
We will review the situation in April and let you know if it’s deemed necessary to cancel concerts in May and beyond. Hopefully we will be up and running soon to celebrate the summer and the arrival of our new Rector, Revd Darren McCallig.
This email is being sent as you have previously expressed interest in our concerts. If you no longer wish to receive this information please let me so I can remove you from our mailing list. Many thanks.
We look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

About Music On The Green
Our concerts take place in Christ Church at the heart of Esher – a church which boasts an outstanding pipe organ, fine grand piano acquired in 2012 with a very generous loan, and good acoustics which all contribute to making our music so enjoyable.
MUSIC on the GREEN is about making music which is accessible to, and enjoyable by, as many people as possible without it being stuffy or cheapened. This is the reason for the MUSIC on the GREEN ‘brand’ – to give the music an identity of its own.
Music is about people, emotions, history… We blend all these ingredients and seek to present our music in interesting and rewarding ways, within its own context so that it can be widely appreciated and enjoyed. Whilst having our firmest foot planted at the classical end of the spectrum, we seek to offer a rich and varied listening programme.
Programme Of Concerts At Christ Church Esher
A concert is scheduled for lunchtime on the Third Wednesday of the month, with teatime concerts about twice a year, usually on a Sunday. The teatime concerts may be admission by ticket, not be free events.
