ABOUT RELEVÉ SCHOOL OF BALLET
Relevé School of Ballet was founded in 2021 by Grace Buskell (RAD RTS, ARAD, BSc Hons) with the aim of bringing high-quality ballet training to Weybridge, and the surrounding area. The school offers classes which are enjoyable, engaging and where each student feels valued.
Grace Buskell (RAD RTS, ARAD, BSc Hons)
Grace attended Susan Robinson School of Ballet and The London Russian Ballet School, later training full-time at The School of Ballet Theatre UK.
She was coached privately by Roberta Marquez, principal of The Royal Ballet, and danced with Atlantic City Ballet, NJ, USA and The London Ballet Company.
Grace holds Registered Teacher Status with the Royal Academy of Dance, as well as a First-class BSc (Hons) Psychology degree from Durham University.
Having had both a ballet career and attended Durham University, Grace is uniquely placed to offer first-hand knowledge and specific guidance on balancing academic achievement and high-level ballet training.
She and her team hope to develop not only creative and technically proficient dancers, but also happy and healthy young people.
Relevé School of Ballet is committed to raising the standard of ballet training and is dedicated to providing a consistently exceptional standard of teaching to boys and girls age 4+, in a friendly and supportive environment. Regardless of whether a student wants to dance recreationally or professionally, the school believes that every student deserves to experience the joy of ballet under the instruction of a passionate and professional teacher.
BENEFITS OF BALLET
Ballet classes have many benefits. It is a wonderful and inspiring form of exercise in which children can explore new movements and improve their co-ordination, balance, control and posture.
Children are taught to be disciplined and follow instructions, whilst performances and examinations nurture children’s confidence. In addition, not only do ballet lessons expand both their dance vocabulary and knowledge of music, but children get to make new friends and develop a life-long love of the arts.

BALLET SYLLABUS – ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE
The school follows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. Established in 1920, the RAD is an internationally renowned dance organisation operating in over 80 countries. The quality of their syllabus is respected worldwide, and their examinations set the standard for classical ballet.
Classes begin at Pre-Primary all the way up to Grade 8. There is also the opportunity to take Vocational graded examinations, from Intermediate Foundation up to Advanced 2.
RAD classes are for children age 4-18 years, of all abilities.
Relevé School of Ballet also offers classical coaching classes for students looking for additional classes beyond the RAD syllabus, as well as pointework, repertoire classes, private tuition and contemporary.
Whilst most pupils dance recreationally, the school offers training and expert advice to those looking to embark on a career in dance and are always on hand to guide and support any student who wants to take their training to the next level.
We offer a FREE trial class for new students.
