Dance Education Centre – Theatre Arts School
Dance Education Centre is a Theatre Arts school created to nurture children’s love of dance from Mini Music and Movement at 8 months, to Pre-School Tap and Ballet at 2 years old and through to major advanced grades.
We believe in encouraging the enjoyment of dance, allowing pupils to use their imagination and build confidence within a happy social atmosphere, developing musical awareness, poise and concentration.

Shows & Performances Dance and Singing Classes
We do many performances including choreography competitions, our own show every 18 months and we also perform in prestigious venues such as the London O2 and Her Majestys Theatre.
Dance Examinations (Optional)
We study the syllabus of the Imperial Society for Teacher of Dancing (ISTD) and examinations can be taken but these are optional.

Dance School Principal – Amanda Cassin BA(Hons) LIDTA DDI
Amanda started dancing at the age of 4 and has danced at the London Palladium, Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesty’s Theatre, London, Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, New Victoria Theatre, Woking and Disneyland Paris.
She has performed in the Touring and London Productions of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and has participated in many Festivals.
Amanda has completed her Licentiate in IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) and has a Diploma in Dance Instruction in ISTD (Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing).
She is also a fully qualified aerobics instructor, has a BA(Hons) in Leisure Management and A levels in Dance and Theatre Studies.
Amanda continues to enhance her teaching by attending ISTD courses during the year, these give updates on all the graded examinations, ensuring her students enter examinations with the most up to date knowledge.
Amanda has been teaching various genres of dance for a number of years.
These include Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Limbering, Gymnastics, Musical Theatre, Street and Freestyle, putting children and adults through numerous exams and producing and directing many shows including choreographing for shows at Her Majesty’s Theatre, London (the home of the Phantom of the Opera) and the London Palladium.
