Remembrance Sunday Ceremonies In Weybridge Surrey – Wreath Laying Ceremony, Parade & Church Services

Morning Remembrance Day Services / Acts Of Remembrance in Weybridge and Walton on Thames on Sunday 12th November 2023

10.00am:  Choral Eucharist at St. James’ Church, Church Street, Weybridge Surrey KT13 8DE
A sung communion service with hymns, bible readings, sermon and prayers concluding with two minutes silence at 11am.

10am: Community Remembrance Day Service with Laying of Wreaths at Church of St Mary Oatlands
Oatlands Avenue, Weybridge Surrey KT13 9TS
Fellowship and refreshments in the Church Hall after the service. Everyone is welcome.

10.30am: Service at Weybridge Methodist Church
Heath Road, Weybridge, Surrey KT13 8TB
Our Sunday service is open to all. Please join us for a time of fellowship and a hot drink directly after the service.

10:40am Joint Churches Service and Ceremony at Walton War Memorial
at the junction of New Zealand Avenue, Ashley Road and High St, Walton-on-Thames KT12 1BU.

Road closures from 10:15 as the community of Walton on Thames gather for the Service and Ceremony, which includes two minute silence at 11am and the laying of wreaths.
This is followed by a parade of local organisations through the town centre.
At 11:30am there are free refreshments at St Mary’s Church, Church Walk, Walton-on-Thames Surrey KT12 2QS

Afternoon Remembrance Day Services and Parade in Weybridge on Sunday 12th November 2023

2.15pm: Wreath Laying Ceremony at Weybridge War Memorial at the top of Monument Hill – Limited Capacity
(Temple Market KT13 9DL) followed by a parade of uniformed units including Scouts and then

3.00pm:  Civic Service of Remembrance at St. James’ Parish Church, Church Street, Weybridge Surrey KT13 8DE
With Uniformed Organisations’ presentation of colours, candles lit in remembrance and special prayers.
Refreshments will be served after the service. All are welcome.
