Brooklands Museum – Aviation Day

Touchdown at Brooklands Museum for a kerosene-fuelled day of aviation antics and activities.

The Museum’s aircraft will be open for visitors to explore, and our live aircraft will be wheeled out onto the restored Finishing Straight for engine runs. There will be plenty of aviation-themed family activities throughout the day, including our popular Pedal Planes for under 5s and an aviation-themed workshop in the Shell pagoda.

Don’t miss the rare Concorde nose droop at around 3:30pm. There will be a raffle during the day to win the opportunity to lower the nose of Concorde.

The day will start with visiting light aircraft and Helicopter fly-ins to the grass airfield at Mercedes-Benz World, aircraft already confirmed include 8 Tiger Moths from the ‘Diamond Nine Display Team’ and a Jet Ranger Helicopter. On the ground, there will even be a chance to see and hear some of the early aircraft in action, as we fire up the engines of the Demoiselle, White Monoplane, Sopwith Camel and Vickers Vimy*.

* Fly-ins and aero-engine runs subject to operational and weather conditions on the day
