The event publicised as ‘Midsummer Madness’ organised by Weybridge Town Business Group, Weybridge Society and WeyBetterWeybridge has been cancelled, but we are able to go ahead with the Market and Entertainment on Monument green and the High Street ‘Streetscape’ area as scheduled.

The public notice issued regarding the cancellation of Midsummer Madness is below. Further down on this page you can see details of the many stalls and live music and dance acts at the event.

Please note that due to the fact that national Covid restrictions have not been fully lifted, the June 26th Midsummers Madness community event at Churchfields has been cancelled. This includes the Brooklands Museum car display, St James bell tower tours and cream teas, all community stalls, live music and performances, and picnic-in-the-park at Churchfields recreation grounds. These activities are postponed and now rescheduled for Sat Sept 4th, when we hope residents and organisations can finally gather for a post-lockdown family fun day and town-wide social event.

Please note however that Weybridge Town Business Group’s Market & Fayre at Monument Green will take place as scheduled on June 26th, with market stalls, live acts and DJ music from Brooklands Radio.

Ruth Langsford will be on hand for the official opening of the festivities and shopping. All activity in this area will be properly socially distanced and manned in accordance with current regulations. The official page for the event is on the News & Events section of the All About Weybridge website allaboutweybridge.co.uk, which has details of the stalls and entertainment and will announce any developments in plans.

We invite everyone to continue to support our local businesses and keep up community spirit as we move our way out of lockdown and to make a note of the new Sept 4th date in their diaries.

Ruth Langsford, who in recent years has kindly supported the Great Weybridge Bake-Off events run by Weybridge Town Business Group, will be performing the official opening at 12 noon. Ruth is well known for a number of leading TV shows, including This Morning, Loose Women, Eamon & Ruth and Strictly Come Dancing.
