School Half-Term Holiday Family Fun – Activities at Brooklands Museum include Car Rides, Children’s Workshops and more!

On weekdays during Half Term, our popular car rides will be operating from 11am-1pm and from 2-3.30pm (subject to weather). Take a trip in a vintage-style car up Test Hill or along the Members’ Banking of the old Race Track, courtesy of the Brooklands Volunteer Car Rides Team. Also, London Bus Museum will be operating bus rides around the local area.
Trails For Kids
Look out for Bertie the Brooklands Bear, who will be making guest appearances, pick up one of our trails for children up to 12 years old.

Workshops – Fun & Learning For Kids!
Build your own pantograph drawing machine and imagine yourself as chief of the Brooklands Aircraft Factory design office. As you draw or trace on one side of the instrument, watch an enlarged version appear in front of you!
Free pop-in activity. All materials will be provided.

Join our Assistant Curator, Abi Wilson, as she searches for and identifies insect pests that can be harmful to the Museum’s objects and buildings.
Abi will be holding two drop-in sessions on Thursday 27th October where you can:
• Find out about the kinds of bugs that are a problem for museums
• Learn why they need to be controlled
• Have a go at identifying them yourself
• Discover what Brooklands does to stop them
Pop into the Education Centre between 11.00-12.30 and 1.00-3.30 to get to grips with the Brooklands Beasties.
All ages welcome.
