Success in three years!
* It was great to see many bakers from last year returning for the challenge in 2019.
Lucia Clark made it three years in a row as winner of the U12 Celebrations Cakes (also Best In Show in 2017 for her carrot & chocolate cake).
This year’s Best in Show Winner Shamina Giulitti was runner up in 2018 with a Chequerboard mad Hatter’s Cake.
Charity Proceeds
Many bakers kindly donated their cakes for sale to raise funds for Your Sanctuary, this year’s chosen charity. The total sum raised from the auction and sale of cakes was £200.
Your Sanctuary provide a range of services which offer emotional & practical support to people and their children who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse.

Charu Sood (Refill champion) and Chris Grace from the All About Weybridge website were at the market to promote the launch of Refill Weybridge which is an initiative to cut back on the use of single use plastics.
There are already 20 businesses and other organisations in Weybridge which will provide free tap water to the public, with thousands more throughout the UK. So please carry a reusable bottle and get a refill, rather than buying numerous plastic bottles which are a waste and pollution problem.
More information about Refill Weybridge here.
