Weybridge in Bloom Launch Meeting

The first meeting was a well attended success. Photos above show the meeting in progress and Team WiB : Chair – Charu Sood , Vice Chair – Ian Donaldson, Treasurer- Micheal O’ Sullivan.

As well as attendees from the Weybridge community, ‘Bloom Organisers’ from other towns in Elmbridge and a Borough Council Green Spaces Team Officer came along to offer their support and share their knowledge and ideas.

Wyevale Garden Centre located at Seven Hills Road supported the event by providing flower pots for the attendees.

Congratulations to Aryan Patel (year 3-6 category). This design will be planted in Churchfield Recreation Ground for the local community to enjoy. It shows a St George’s College rowing boat on the River Thames.

Adult Winner

Congratulations to Nicolette. Her design was called ” The Cycle of Weybridge Life” – How life moves through stages and that we grow, change, age and bring new life to our community – the cycle repeats. Plants to be used include Hoya Kerrii which are heart shaped green cacti and Graptoveria Debbie which are pink succulents.
