Party On The Green
on Saturday 11th June 2016
We are grateful to everyone who contributed to making this event a great success.
There was a great attendance from the local community who turned out to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday. Families and people of all ages gathered to enjoy the entertainment, picnicking, browsing and shopping from the range of artisan food and craft stalls.
There was a parade of crowns ‘fit for a queen’ made by children from 3 Weybridge schools, with the Mayor of Elmbridge presenting prizes of delicious chocolate crowns made by Bachmanns.
Entertainment included Oatlands Pipe Band, music from Radio Jackie, rides for children, face painting & pottery decorating.
Matthew at Obsessions made a gold & topaz pendant for the event which was auctioned, with the money raised contributing to further events and projects by the Business Group and towards the charity supported by this event, which was Elmbridge Community Link.

Prudential RideLondon Surrey Cycle Ride

Following the success of Queen’s Jubilee Party On The Green, Weybridge Town Business Group organised a similar event to bring the community together to have fun and support the town centre.
The public came along to join in the fun, lunch or picnic, shop and cheer on the cyclists, many of whom were riding to support worthy charities.
For information about this year’s event, see the Weybridge Community Day & RideLondon 2017 page.
