Weybridge Hall - Can You Help Make A
Difference?

The Hall has been given a second chance (see
below), but we need your help to make it work.
The Council has given the local community two
years to show that it really needs the Hall.
We have to use it, or lose it!
|
|
This popular venue for a variety of classes,
courses and events has so much potential, but we
are looking for volunteers to help make that
potential a reality.
|
|
If you can spare just an hour once a week, this
could make a huge difference to an important
public amenity. We are looking for people to
help with liasing with local businesses,
applying for funds, raising the Hall's profile
and fundraising projects.

Weybridge Hall Given New Life
|

We were pleased to strongly support the
campaign to save Weybridge Hall, including
prominent publicity on the allaboutWeybridge
website, so we are delighted to announce that
following a period of uncertainty about its
future, Weybridge Hall has been given a fresh
start.
Elmbridge Borough Council, DC Leisure,
Weybridge Society and Friends of Weybridge Hall
have signed a two-year partnership agreement to
secure the future of the Hall, an important
local amenity in the heart of Weybridge.

Local publicist & celebrity Max Clifford
(picture on right) has boosted the success of the
Hall’s re-launch by agreeing to fund the
redecoration of the Hall. This will provide a
lighter, brighter space for hire by individuals,
businesses and groups such as dance classes,
children’s football classes and the Old Folks’
Club.
Mr Clifford said, “A lot of people
in the local area get a lot of pleasure from the
different activities running at the Hall. This
is why I’m happy to fund the redecoration. It’s
great news that the Council is supporting this
important public facility. It is the right
decision for the community.” |

Jennifer Doyle,
chairwoman of Friends of Weybridge Hall, said,
“This is fantastic news. We were overwhelmed by
the local support for the Hall and delighted
that Max Clifford has given such a boost to its
future. With the Partnership working together to
improve usage of the Hall, we are confident that
we have secured this vital amenity for the
community. Now we have to show that we really
want the Hall to stay open by using it!”
Cllr Jan Fuller, Portfolio Holder for
Leisure and Cultural Services, said “I strongly
believe that the Weybridge Hall Partnership will
reinforce Weybridge Hall’s position as a social
hub for the local community. It is great to see
people coming together to improve their
environment and take responsibility for such a
remarkable building that has been at the heart
of the community for many generations. Weybridge
Hall is a fantastic local asset and is bound to
remain so for many years to come with the
support of the Weybridge Hall Partnership”. |

Weybridge Hall offers a large indoor space
with hardwood floor, excellent acoustics and
great lighting. It is available for hire for
private functions and public use. For more

activities and is available for hire to the
general public for all types of events and
occasions.

people, during public events, with a
balcony area for 80 people. |

It is equipped with a stage
area, piano and PA system. |
