Coach Outings From Pelican Lane
Weybridge
1940's
Pelican Lane Coach Outings In Late 1940's
Off to Bognor for a day at the seaside
(with buckets)
In the 1940's, the residents of the
Ham Moor Estate looked forward to their outings, when
they would all go out for a day trip together. The
picture above is a journey to the seaside (with buckets)
in 1947. They were known as the Pelican Lane Outings.
The Lane no longer exists but the Pelican Pub is still
there, beside the canal.
The picture below seems to be a day
out for the ladies only.
1940's day out by coach for the ladies!
