Whether you are struggling to
sleep at night, are suffering from back pain or
tight limbs, feeling stressed or just looking
for an alternative form of exercise, yoga is for
you.
|
 |
|
Yoga is the union of body, mind and spirit which
restores and maintains a healthy body by
developing strength, balance and flexibility.
|
|
It can be physically demanding but
it is versatile enough to be adapted to suit any
life stage or body shape - teen years,
pregnancy, middle and advanced years. |
|
There is no 'one-way' to
practice yoga and is not about being stronger,
more flexible or better than anyone else, but
about controlling your mind and body through a
sequence of moves and breathing techniques.
|
|
The regular practice of
asanas (sequence of postures) and pranayamas
(breathing techniques), work together to help
control one's senses and concentration. |
|
If practiced regularly
enough, yoga can become a form of meditation to
you and you will see the results in your daily
life. |
|
Camilla Campbell Yoga offers variety of yoga
styles taught by talented teachers, all of which
are listed below: |

|
"I started yoga
classes with Camilla and find it very
enjoyable. Not only is she a brilliant,
inspirational teacher but she makes the
classes really fun! Yoga is very easily
learnt and does not require much
equipment. I definitely recommend her
classes!" |

If you are new to yoga or are an expert
practitioner, we have a variety of classes to
suit your ability. We host an extensive range of
classes and workshops at our new yoga studio in
Cobham, including the
following:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
|
Ashtanga Yoga is often
referred to as Classical Yoga and is different
to many yoga styles in the west in that the
order of the poses is completely predefined. It
is a progressive sequence of asanas (postures)
which produces an intense internal heat, a heavy
sweat which detoxifies muscles and organs.
|
|
The results improve circulation, a light and
strong body, and a calm mind. The sequence does
not change unless you become more advanced at
the practice in which case the postures evolve
into more challenging moves.
|
|
Unless otherwise specified, most classes are
“led” classes as the teacher will guide you
through one posture at a time until you know the
series well enough to do self practice. |
|
Ashtanga Yoga is one of the more physically
demanding forms of yoga but each individual
exercises within their own personal levels of
ability so anyone can do it, whatever their
level of fitness or experience. However, if you
are a complete beginner to Ashtanga Yoga, we
recommend you join the Beginners Course to
familiarise yourself with the asanas (postures). |
|
"Camilla is an extremely
dedicated and focused teacher. I owe her a lot.
I doubt I would have embraced Ashtanga Yoga had
I been introduced to it by another teacher. She
communicates very well and her enthusiasm about
yoga is very clear. I can feel that teaching
yoga gives a lot of joy to Camilla. For a yoga
student it is really encouraging and for me, it
creates a positive bilateral connection." |

Includes a gentle progression of yoga poses for
toning your body and renewing your strength
while helping to alleviate the stress incurred
by giving birth. |
 |
|
Post-pregnancy is the most important time
for a woman to regain her physical strength and
stamina and Postnatal Yoga is the perfect way to
get back in shape.
|
|
You can attend these classes with your babies
and often your baby participates in some of the
postures! |
|
These classes can be attended by women from two
weeks after giving birth and it is open to
anyone regardless of previous yoga experience. |
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
These classes follow on from
Baby Yoga and are for mothers (or fathers) and
their now crawling child until the age of 2.5
years. |
|
The postures are interactive, creative and help
strengthen the baby’s body as well as motor
neuron system, balance and digestion. |

|
The postures are interactive, creative and help
strengthen the baby’s body as well as motor

Specifically it helps teach the children that
relaxation and ‘quiet time’ are an important
part of the day to both them and their
parents. |

Moves the story! |
|
|
Yoganory empowers a child’s imagination, by
combining yoga with storytelling and drama.
Using traditional yoga postures children breathe
life into stories. |
|
Using their bodies they make the story’s
characters and objects come alive. |
|
Classes are non-competitive and designed to
involve all the children, leading them on
exciting, interactive adventure stories with
songs and yoga games, all encouraging relaxation
and breathing awareness. |
|
This class is for children between 2.5 to 4
years of age. |

A teenager's life and body are in a constant
state of change. Yoga promotes a sense of calm
and emotional balance which keeps the spirit
strong and healthy, benefiting both the mind as
well as the body. |
 |
|
Teenagers often feel uneasy with the rapid
changes that their bodies are undergoing - yoga
helps to build self confidence as well as a
sense of body acceptance. |
Boys especially, tend to appreciate the way
that yoga helps to build muscle, while girls
enjoy the sense of grace and poise that yoga
gives. |
|
For both genders, the sense of physical well
being, combined with the appreciation of a
strong, healthy body makes yoga an ideal choice
for quality exercise. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
If you think yoga is just for gentle relaxation,
think again. |
 |
More and more athletes from different
disciplines are discovering the many dimensions
of their performance that can be improved by
adding yoga to their training.
It
increases and improves flexibility, balance,
mental focus, lung capacity and improved
breathing as well as strength and stamina to
name a few benefits. |
|
This class is
for sports men
and women with a
specific focus
on running and
cycling. |
|
|
|
"Having attended Camilla's
classes, I quickly realised the benefits as I
sweated so much! Yoga with Camilla sometimes
leaves me more tired then after an hour in the
gym but definitely more relaxed! Her classes are
always a big asset to my week and help me
understand how my body and mind work better
together." |

Modern offices are often dynamic, challenging
and rewarding places to work. However nowadays,
we work longer hours and spend too much time
commuting. |
 |
|
This can lead to stress, and can put pressure on
leisure time. |
|
If you would like your employees to be
healthier, stronger and more focused, then why
not organise a yoga session at your office? |
|
We can organise yoga workshops and classes
on-site or at our studio for your teams and
tailor the class to the needs of the
organisation. |
|
|
|
"Being able to take a
course in the same building where I work is a
perfect solution because not only is the
location convenient, but the classes are great!
Camilla is energetic, engaging and a fantastic
teacher. She has managed to lock every single
Monday evening in my calendar." |

Your Yoga
Tutors - Camilla |
|
|
Camilla Campbell has worked
in communications and marketing in the finance
industry for 10 years. Being a sports addict and
competitive by nature, she was initially
sceptical about yoga and pilates. Clearly
needing to chill out, a friend persuaded her to
try an Ashtanga Yoga class before coming to any
conclusion about this 'alternative practice'.
|
|
The class was led by a
dedicated Ashtanga yogi who continues to spend
many years in India with Sri Pattabi Joi,
learning the discipline and philosophy of yoga.
Camilla finished her class feeling completely
exhausted, de-toxed, wobbly-legged and
pleasantly surprised. She had the best nights
sleep that evening and was a complete convert!
Her life has become easier to manage, her
sporting ability has improved, she is less
competitive in her daily life and knows how to
relax when feeling the heat of the city. |
 |
|
Camilla is a qualified and
registered Yoga Alliance teacher who specialises
in Ashtanga Yoga. She will be a certified
Perinatal and Baby Yoga teacher from Birthlight
UK and will continue to develop her study of
Baby Massage and Tai Chi. Camilla is registered
with British Yoga Teachers Association and is
fully insured. |
|
Camilla views her yoga classes as a two-way
relationship. |
|
|
|
"Camilla guides the class
very peacefully through this challenging
Ashtanga yoga experience, but at the same time
she always encourages people to push their
limits, perfectly knowing the strengths and
weaknesses of everybody in her class. She is a
very patient person who is able to take time to
adjust the different positions for every single
individual so that all of us can benefit from
her strong experience. |
|
Moreover, the
general atmosphere is really pleasant and I feel
like I am truly sharing with the others in the
class. Not only the practice of yoga, but also
the simple things… and some very funny moments!" |
|
S. Duchamp |

|
|
"Having attended over 10
weeks of yoga classes with Camilla I have
noticed an increase in my flexibility and
strength. The first 2 or 3 lessons my muscles
ached in places I had never expected, but the
benefits in the long term are definitely worth
it! Lessons are challenging with the vigorous
postures but the emphasis on controlled
breathing means that at the end of the class I
feel deeply relaxed." |
