"I initially thought interior design was just choosing a pot of paint and some wallpaper. The perception changed completely when Sarah Shorrocks came and did a design for our hall. After discussing how we used the space, what sort of designs we liked, the current themes in the house, Sarah considered how we could get the most out of the hall, what we needed, how we could use all the space and how we could keep the room warmer.

Sarah came back a couple of weeks later with a great design which gave the right look and feel to the room. Not only did it cover the paint, wallpaper and flooring , but also why blinds were better than curtains, furniture, lighting the whole look and feel for the room. It gave us a great enlightenment and that night we immediately swapped out some of the furniture and that straight away made a difference to the room."
