1st Weybridge Scouts
|
| What's Special About 1st Weybridge
(Brooklands Own) Scout Group? |
| Formed in 1907 we are
the oldest Scout Troop in Surrey, if not the UK!
We have a well loved HQ in the heart of
Weybridge Town and the troop is made up of a
great bunch of supporting parents and Beavers &
Cub Scouts with fantastic leaders and
assistants. |
| The children learn so
much from their weekly sessions and we want to
repair our building so we will be here for
another 100 years so we can in time fundraise for
Weybridge Community. |

Please Support Scouts With HQ Renovation
Project |
|
Please support 1st Weybridge, your local and
oldest scout group, which needs funds to pay towards
the much needed renovation of the Headquarters
in Springfield Lane and ensure the continuation
of this great Scout Troop. |
|
|
|
How We Support The Local Community |
|
Offering Scouting activities in accordance with
the Rules and Programmes of the Scout
Association to young people in the Weybridge
area. Further expansion to accommodate
increasing numbers of potential members is
severely limited by the lack of modern toilet
and kitchen facilities, inadequate and ancient
electrical installation, no disabled access or
adequate storage for equipment. |
|
|
|
What Is The HQ Renovation Project? |
|
Fund raising is needed for renovations to the
Scout HQ including replacing leaking asbestos
roofing, new windows, exit doors, re-wiring, low
energy lighting, disabled toilets, kitchen,
internal redecoration, disabled (ramped) access
to the building and essential grounds
maintenance. |
