Computers & The Internet at Weybridge Library
High speed Internet computers are available in all Surrey Libraries.

Who can use the computers?
Everybody can use the service for free. If you are a library member, you will need your library card to use a computer. If you are not a member, you will need some form of identification such as driving licence, passport or national identification card.

Can children use the computers?
If you are under 16 years of age you will need your parent or carer to either sign a permission form or to use the computer with you.

How long can I use the computers?
Most computers can be used for up to an hour.
 

  • If you are a library member you just need your library card and PIN.
  • If you are not a member, please ask a member of staff for assistance.


What can I use the computers for?

The computers are all connected to the Internet. You can surf the web, search for information, send or receive email. There are also word processing and other office programs for you to use.

Computers at library learning centres have training programs to help you improve your computer skills.

If you haven't used the Internet before
If you are not familiar with the Internet, library staff can help you get started and can help you search for information.

If you need more help, then courses and self-tuition packages are available in some library learning centres. Please ask for details and locations.

Adult and Community Learning also run classes throughout the year and you can search their list of courses online.

Yes. There is a charge for printing. Prices may have changed since publication, but they had been

  • 10p a sheet for black and white
  • 1 a sheet for colour
Free Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi at Weybridge Library Wi-fi is now available in all Surrey Libraries plus Surrey History Centre and the Performing Arts Library.

You can log onto the internet using your wi-fi enabled device, such as a laptop, ipad or smart phone.

People who are not library members can use the service for half an hour, and Surrey residents are able to join online.

Most libraries have identified electrical points that can be used for laptops.

Computer drop-in sessions every Tues 10am-12:00 at Weybridge Library. We are happy to help with any computer questions you may have.
