To kick off the choir’s 90th Anniversary
year, they will be in Staines on Saturday 19th
March in aid of DayBreak, the day respite care
centre based in St Peter's church hall.
DayBreak opened in April 2008 following
grant assistance from Spelthorne Borough
Council, Surrey County Council and the Diocese
of London. It is a voluntary organisation that
provides support to carers and those they care
for. Its objectives are: |
| ● To
provide specialist care and support to people
in the community suffering from long-term
illnesses, chronic conditions, disabilities,
or mental health problems |
| ● To
assist with the rehabilitation and assessment
of those returning home following hospital
care;
|
|
● To
support, advise and provide respite for
carers. |
