Modern Jive is a combination of many well-known dance styles
such as Jive, Salsa, Rock-n-Roll and Ballroom to name but a

If you've seen fast Jive on Strictly Come Dancing and are
worried that it's too energetic, don't worry - Modern Jive
is a different dance. It's a much slower and relaxing pace
(without kicks and flicks) that everyone can cope with and
enjoy. |
Musical Styles
Modern Jive lends itself to many musical styles from 40's
swing, through the decades up to today's latest pop chart
music. |
It's Easy To Learn
(no fancy footwork) so within a short time, total beginners
to Modern Jive can look as if they've been dancing for years |

Elmbridge have revised their waste & recycling collection
timetable over the holidays in order to minimise disruption
and keep a regular service. |
|
Service runs as usual up to and including the Bank Holiday
on Friday 10th April. |
|
All other collections between Monday 13th April and Friday
17th April will take place, one day later than usual. |
|
Collections return to normal the week commencing 20th April. |
|
If your refuse and recycling is not collected for any
reason, please inform Elmbridge Council (Tel:01372 474 474)
and leave your bins at your collection point ready for
collection the next day. |

Healthy Walks are a round the year programme of walks that
provide an enjoyable way to improve your health and fitness.
Participants are encouraged to walk briskly. For health
benefits you should breath more deeply and feel warmer when
you walk. |
 |

Please choose the grading and length
of time your selected walk takes carefully and according to
your ability. If you are a novice walker please choose MOD 1
or less. |
|
Although we do attempt to keep to the timing, a degree of
flexibility is needed. Stops for coffee are usually half and
hour. All ages can participate in Healthy Walks, but a
parent or carer must supervise walkers under 14. No dogs
unless stated otherwise except assistance dogs; they must
be kept on a lead. Be sure to wear suitable clothing and
footwear, also bring some drinking water. |
