A Celebration Of Christmas - Weybridge Male Voice Choir |
|
Featuring St James C of E Primary School Choir |
|
|

The Weybridge Male Voice
Choir, joined by St James’s C of E Primary School Choir, is
holding its traditional Christmas concert on Friday 12th
December at St James’s Church Weybridge at 7.30 pm. Choir
favourite Elizabeth Westaway will once again be guest female
soloist. The Male Voice Choir will be under the baton of
Musical Director Christine Best and accompanied by Mike
Wood. |
 |
The two choirs and Elizabeth
will sing a carol together specially written for them by
local musician Gareth Giles. |
|
There will be opportunities
for the audience to join in with a few traditional carols
and the concert will close with the Male Voice Choir’s
rousing rendition of ‘The Holy City’. |
|
13th & 20th Dec - Shopping Centre
Performances In Aid Of Charities |
The Choir will also be
performing at Brooklands Shopping Centre in the
Foyer between Marks and Spencer and Tesco at 11.00
am on Saturday 13th December in support
of a collection for ‘Save the Children’ and on the
following Saturday, 20th December, at the
Heart Centre in Walton at 11.00 am in support of a
collection for the ‘Friends of Walton Hospital’.

There will be traditional and up tempo Christmas
Carols as well as one based on a Bach harmonisation,
a 15th Century Carol, an old English tune and one
written for school children. Entry is free but there
will be a retiring collection for the Church
restoration fund and for this year, the Princess
Alice Hospice. Come and meet the singers after the
concert and enjoy mince pies and refreshments. |

Healthy Walks are a round the year programme of walks that
provide an enjoyable way to improve your health and fitness.
Participants are encouraged to walk briskly. For health
benefits you should breath more deeply and feel warmer when
you walk. |

Please choose the grading and length
of time your selected walk takes carefully and according to
your ability. If you are a novice walker please choose MOD 1
or less. |
|
Although we do attempt to keep to the timing, a degree of
flexibility is needed. Stops for coffee are usually half and
hour. All ages can participate in Healthy Walks, but a
parent or carer must supervise walkers under 14. No dogs
unless stated otherwise except assistance dogs; they must
be kept on a lead. Be sure to wear suitable clothing and
footwear, also bring some drinking water. |
