Join us our healthy, delicious Saturday,
June 16th Turkish Cooking Class (and
whatever the weather, we have sunshine
in the class!) |
|
What makes the food we eat
memorable? Sure, there is the taste
element, smell, presentation of the
food; they all contribute greatly for
making the food special. In Turkish
culture, there is also the so important
"sharing" element; we think even simple
food tastes better when shared with
family and friends. Hospitality,
generosity is a big part of Turkish
culture. |
|
It was a great pleasure
to share Turkish food and culture at my Turkish cooking class
in April, with wonderful, enthusiastic
foodies. We cooked and enjoyed some
easy, healthy, and delicious Turkish
food together. Here at
this link, you
can view the class photos and wonderful
recipes that you can easily recreate at

This is a demo style cooking class,
where I demonstrate each recipe from
scratch. Participants get to watch very
closely, can take notes on printed
recipes, and they get to see every stage
in the kitchen closely too. |
|
I have been teaching Turkish cooking
classes over 5 years and I like to give
information as where to get ingredients,
tips for ahead of time cooking and ideas
for substitution. I am Turkish and lived
in Turkey (Istanbul and elsewhere) for
30 years, and travelled extensively. |
|
During the class, I talk about different
regions in Turkey, and this maybe quite
useful information for planning holidays
to Turkey too. |
