37km bike ride starting at Newlands Corner near
Guildford and finishing at Hampton Court. After
recently doing a sponsored sky dive Steve Banting
has got the fundraising bug and is looking for 80
companions to join him in this moderately
challenging task being organised by the Horley
Friends of Shooting Star CHASE.
To keep it simple
sponsorship money will be collected via Just Giving

Healthy Walks are a round
the year programme of walks that provide an
enjoyable way to improve your health and fitness.
Participants are encouraged to walk briskly. For
health benefits you should breath more deeply and
feel warmer when you walk
Please choose the grading and length
of time your selected walk takes carefully and according to
your ability. If you are a novice walker please choose MOD 1
or less.
Although we do attempt to keep to the timing, a degree of
flexibility is needed. Stops for coffee are usually half and
hour. All ages can participate in Healthy Walks, but a
parent or carer must supervise walkers under 14.
No dogs unless stated otherwise
except assistance dogs; they must be kept on a lead.
Be sure to wear suitable clothing and footwear,
also bring some drinking water.

Former World Squash Champions Peter Nicol
and Jonathan Power head a very strong line up for this year's
event.
The event, taking place on the 16,17,18
and 19 September, will see the 'legends'
of recent squash years, such as Jonathan
Power and Peter Nicol, battle it out for
the title of 2011 Champion.
The event
will be played in the state of the art,
all glass, exhibition court at St
George's Hill and will provide
spectators with the perfect vantage
point to see all the best action from
the matches.
Power will return to Weybridge
to make amends for last year's final
defeat at the hands of long-time rival
Peter Nicol. Canadian, Power suffered a
four set loss at the inaugural event in
2010 but knows better than anyone how to
topple the champion this time around.
Power fought Nicol on the PSA Tour for a
decade in which their battles dominated
the game. While the Canadian ended up
with one less win in their
head-to-heads, he always thrilled the
crowds with his dazzling arsenal of
trick shots and no lack of passion.
Now 37 but still in great physical shape
thanks to his role at the National
Squash Academy in Ontario, Power will be
hoping to top Group A with another final
showdown against Nicol a distinct
possibility.
Few sporting rivalries can match the
intensity of those in squash; the only
racket sport where opponents share the
same space without the separation of a
net. It is a brutal version of boxing
using rackets with players manoeuvring
their opponents around the court looking
to work them into submission or kill
them off with a deadly winner.
Power & Nicol have fought out many such
battles over the years, and Power has
never been one to enjoy losing so will
be fired up this September to ensure
that doesn't happen again.
"Last year's event was a
lot of fun, particularly facing up to
Peter again, but the final result wasn't
so enjoyable so I will be looking to end
this year's event slightly
differently!!" said the mercurial
Canadian from his club in Toronto.

fast and are priced from £15-£35, they

The Nine Telecom Legends of Squash
Tournament takes place at St George's
Hill Club from Friday 16th- Monday 19th
September. Former World Champions
Peter Nicol and Jonathan Power head a
