The Aim Of The Practice

Weybridge Physiotherapy exists to provide physiotherapy services to private patients in Surrey. The aim of the practice is to help in restoring patients to normal levels of activity and function. This is achieved by enabling the patient to identify the cause of their dysfunction through the accurate assessment of their current neuro muscular skeletal condition, lifestyle and environment.

Special attention is focused on postural alignment, core stability, neurodynamics and muscle imbalance.

Importantly patients are encouraged to take responsibility for their conditions and empowered to take an active role in their current treatment, longer-term injury prevention and physical health.

The practice operates on a very “hands on” basis aiming to address the primary dysfunction as soon as possible. Patients are educated regarding the nature and causes of their dysfunction and given targeted advice and exercises.

Treatment For Computer Users

Due to the changing nature of the workplace and the proliferation of the use of personal computers and laptops, the treatment and prevention of headaches and upper quadrant dysfunction is of particular interest.

The Principal Physiotherapist

The Principal physiotherapist is Michael O’Reilly MCSP SRP PDM who has extensive experience in manual therapy in both the private sector and the NHS.

His experience in managing a Physiotherapy Department in a private hospital has equipped him to effectively deal with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical patient related matters.

Ongoing contact with this hospital ensures that he stays abreast with current clinical thinking through in-service training and peer review.
