Testimonials - Corporate French Lessons
|
French Culture & Language
|
|
“Ski Morzine has
been using the services of Anne
Scott-Watson for increasing the French
language capabilities of its staff since
September 2008. |
|
Anne introduces a
large element of French history,
geography and culture into her classes,
so they are equally valuable for
understanding the way French people
behave, as well as the way they speak. |
|
Each class is a
mixture of new information,
recapitulation and progression. I would
thoroughly recommend Anne to any
business owner who requires that his/her
staff increase their awareness of
France, the French and French”. |

Weekly Lunchtime Group French Lessons
|
|
“From time to
time, we receive billing queries from
customers in France, and I needed to
learn some French to help dealing with
them. Anne came to our company at lunch
time once a week to teach French to a
group of us (she offered very flexible
time for us when the busy time of month
end came). |
|
We learnt basic
French conversation as well as some
business conversations. Anne can use
various resources & fun games to help us
learning, which I believe it is the
greatest thing to do for a lunch break!
She makes sure that every sentence is
practiced so we are not just studying it
& forgetting about it after class. In
fact, I found it so amazing that at the
end of each lesson, the knowledge we
just learnt has become part of me
already! |
|
She also tried to
find out which type of learner you are
first so she can use the best way on
different type of learners. For example,
she found that I was an audio learner,
so she repeated the words & phrases
before showing me the actual writing
form of the words. I think this is
extremely helpful. Thank you so much,
Anne!" |

How To
Proceed: 3 Stages
|
|
1. |
As I will tailor my
classes (one-to-one or group) according
to the requirements of your company, I
will first assess your specific needs
either by telephone, on line or face to
face. This will include questions on
time availability, personal goals,
current and intended proficiency in
different language skills and
situations. |
|
2. |
A language assessment
is conducted for all participants except
Beginners. This is not a test! Rather,
it is conducted like a lesson and covers
all four languages skills (reading,
writing, speaking and hearing). It
enables me to evaluate the proficiency
of each pupil while giving the
opportunity for the client to experience
first hand my teaching method before
committing themselves to a full course. |
|
3. |
Language Training
begins at your company’s offices or at
my house, in groups or one-to-one. An
accurate lesson report will be submitted
on a regular basis along with a record
of attendance if required by the
company. |
|
|
|
Prices For
Corporate Tuition |
|
On request. Invoices are usually
submitted monthly in arrears, keeping it
nice and flexible for you. |

Benefits
Of Learning French For Both Employee and
The Business |
|
• |
According to “La
Francophonie dans le monde 2006-2007”,
128 million Francophones speak French
fluently (as a native or adopted
language) and use it on a regular basis. |
|
• |
A business operating
in a global corporate environment need
employees who can speak the language of
its clients and of the competition: a
multilingual workforce brings
significant commercial benefits. |
|
• |
In the current
economic climate, you need every
advantage you can get to keep yourself
competitive in the marketplace, and
adding foreign language skills is a
great way to gain an advantage. |
|
The Times
(16/02/09), Britain's reliance on
foreigners' willingness to learn English
is self-defeating: |
|
“It is clearer
than ever that British workers'
inability to take advantage of the
opportunities offered by the world's
largest single labour market - the EU -
stems in large part from longstanding
reluctance to make more than a token
effort with foreign languages.” |
|
www.newsweekshowcase.com (27/02/09), Why
learn another language? |
|
“A survey of
employment destinations of graduates in
the UK discovered that those with
language qualifications fared better
than practically any other subject
specialization - even computer
specialists.(.) |
|
In order to
achieve senior management positions in
larger companies, a knowledge of
languages and the experience of other
countries and cultures which that
allows, are now essential.“ |
