Welcome to Pilates Works Studio, a large and open space,
right in the heart of Weybridge, Surrey dedicated to the
teaching of Pilates.
|
|
Pilates is a method of exercise that dramatically
transforms the way the body feels and looks by focusing
on stretching and building strength from a strong core. |
|
Here we offer you outstanding Pilates tuition and
detailed personal attention in a calm, safe and
welcoming environment. |
|
Our intention is to combine the effective techniques of
both Body Control Pilates and New York style Pilates
with other movement techniques, to create a unique
programme for your exact needs.
|
|
We offer private sessions using traditional pilates
equipment. This apparatus uses a series of springs and
your own body as resistance to help strengthen and lengthen muscles.
The
result is a dramatic increase in tone without building
muscle bulk associated with free weights.
|
|
|
We also offer group tuition that is centred around the
thirty-six challenging core exercises that Joseph
Pilates designed for execution on floor mats. We break
these down into hundreds of smaller, more gentle
but progressive exercises where necessary making the Pilates method
accessible to everyone from individuals needing
rehabilitation to athletes competing at an international
level. |

Whether equipment or mat based, all our exercises tone the
body, develop a strong core, facilitate correct
breathing,
good anatomical alignment and consequently
improve posture. The exercises are very low impact but
give a challenging workout with incredible results. |
