Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society
Support for parents and families whose baby is stillborn or dies soon after birth

In the UK, 16 babies a day are stillborn or die in the first 4 weeks of life.

SANDS is working to support bereaved parents, and to press for improvements in care during pregnancy and when a baby has died

HELPLINE
If you have been affected by the stillbirth or death of a baby in the early weeks of life and would like to talk to someone about your experience please ring our helpline. You may be a parent, family member, friend or health or social care professional supporting bereaved parents. Your baby may have died recently or many years ago.

Helpline: 020 7436 5881

The Helpline is open from 10:00 to 15:00, from Monday to Friday.

Outside these hours an answerphone message will let you know when you can expect the Helpline to reopen. If the helpline is busy, you will be able to leave a message, and someone can call you back.

GENERAL ENQUIRIES
For general enquires, membership details, group enquiries and all other purposes please call the office number. We want to keep the Helpline free for those who need to use it.
