What a year this is turning out to be for the video games industry. In
case you weren't aware, the biggest games conference, E3, was held
mid-May in Los Angeles and didn't disappoint. However, the Friday
before, MTV broadcasted details showing off the new Xbox 360 console,
due out around November of this year. So now we have 2 confirmed
console launches this side of Christmas - the Sony Handheld PSP and
the Xbox 360 (also worth noting is the Nintendo DS handheld, which has
only recently been released. Nintendo also announced a new, smaller
version of the Game Boy Advance, also due out Q4 of this year. Sony didn't keep quiet either on details of their new next generation console to rival the Xbox 360 with the announcement of the PS3 which wooed everyone present with some fantastic presentations of some of the forthcoming games currently under development.
